Professionals comparing CRS factors after the removal of job-offer points

Job offers no longer add 50 or 200 CRS points, but they can still matter to eligibility in some programs and several other CRS factors remain available.

A candidate whose calculator total dropped after March 25, 2025 may still need the job-offer records for program eligibility. A zero CRS value does not make the underlying employment irrelevant.

What to do now

  • Use the official IRCC calculator and compare each input with supporting documents.
  • Review whether a valid language retest, education assessment or provincial nominee stream is available to you.
  • Update an Express Entry profile when facts change and IRCC requires the update.

Where this guide stops

A possible points increase is not advice to pursue a credential or nomination, and a job offer can still affect program eligibility even when its CRS value is zero.
